Kern River Corgis is a family-run program with locations in California and Texas, specializing in Standard and Fluffy Coat Pembroke Welsh Corgis.
We focus on raising loving, confident puppies with excellent structure and wonderful temperaments through thoughtful breeding and quality enrichment. Both locations follow the same standards and puppy-raising practices, providing every Kern River puppy with the same foundation for success.

Our Story
We are Kaitlyn and Shaena, sister-in-laws who share a deep love for family, animals, and the incredible Pembroke Welsh Corgi. What began as a shared passion has grown into Kern River Corgis, a program dedicated to raising happy, healthy, well-rounded Corgis with loving temperaments and excellent structure.
As our families have grown, so has our program. With Kaitlyn and her family recently moving to Paris, Texas, Kern River Corgis is now home to two locations—our original home base in Bakersfield, California, and our new Texas location. This expansion allows us to grow thoughtfully while also making it easier for families across the country to welcome a Kern River puppy into their homes.
Although we are now in two states, we remain one family and one program. Both locations follow the same guidelines, standards, health practices, and puppy-raising philosophy. No matter where a puppy is raised, our focus remains the same: providing a loving, enriching environment where each puppy can develop into a confident, well-adjusted companion.
We believe quality enrichment begins from the very start. Our puppies are introduced to Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Early Scent Introduction (ESI), age-appropriate socialization, new sounds, surfaces, environments, and experiences. We also begin foundational skills such as crate training, potty training, and confidence-building to help prepare each puppy for life with their new family.
